Before the inception and official registration of Galams Foods Limited, Gyedwa Multipurpose Farms operated as a business entity since 2013. It served as an agricultural venture primarily dedicated to livestock and crop cultivation, spanning across 63 hectares of fertile land. The rice milling operation was initiated during this period, predating the formal establishment of Galams Foods Limited in 2016. As a result, the visionaries behind Gyedwa Multipurpose Farm went on to establish Galams Foods Limited and integrated the former as a subsidiary.

The Rice Hack Project: Cultivating Innovation, One Farmer at a Time

The essence of the project is to impact farmers with the right knowledge and techniques through trainings so as to improve both their productivity and nutrition while protecting the eco-system.


Training Focus Areas:
  • Termite Control Management system: Best way to control termites invasions of rice farms at very low cost and eco-friendly
  • Nutrient Management System in Fertilizer Application For Rice: Helps to protect farms from too much fertilizer application or too low (with the help of Rice Booster Manure)
  • Soil Nutrient Management System through Crop Rotation Formula: Helps to boost soil nutrient and also to control soil salinity due to bad farming practices in the past.
  • Rice-Booster APP: Provides farmers application guidelines to optimally match the needs during critical growth stage of their rice crop variety and recommends doses and timing of application of Rice Booster.
